Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Barabr Android application and related websites (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Barabr provides a digital notebook for farm offices: lands (Zameen), accounts (Khata), expenses, income, worker payments, stock, settlements, reports, land address, and Nap (map-based land measurement estimates). Features may change as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law (generally 18+).
• You must provide accurate registration details (including phone number) and keep your login secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for members you add to your office.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, break these Terms, or create security risk.

3. Your content and responsibility

You retain ownership of the farm records and files you enter. You grant us a limited license to host, sync, process, and display that content only to provide the Service to your office. You are responsible for the accuracy of amounts, people, land boundaries, and documents you record. Barabr is a bookkeeping aid — not legal, tax, survey, or professional advice.

4. Nap and maps

Nap measurements and map addresses are estimates based on points you place (and optional GPS). They are not a cadastral survey, title document, or guarantee of land area. Accuracy depends on pin placement, map imagery, and device GPS. Do not rely on Nap alone for legal land disputes or official registration.

5. Subscriptions and service fees

Some features may require a paid plan or payment of a platform service fee (for example on closed profitable accounts), as shown in the app or admin notices. Fee percentages, plans, and payment instructions may change. Uploading a payment receipt does not complete payment until it is verified according to our process. Refunds, if any, are handled case by case through support.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to break security, scrape, or overload our systems.
• Upload malware or content you do not have rights to share.
• Impersonate others or misuse another office’s data.
• Reverse engineer the app except where the law allows.

7. Third-party services

The Service may use Google Maps, Firebase (notifications), hosting providers, and app stores. Those services have their own terms. Google Play’s terms also apply when you install from Play Store.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. Offline use depends on what is stored on your device; sync requires a working internet connection.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that calculations, Nap areas, or sync will be error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Barabr AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSSES FROM RELYING ON ESTIMATED LAND MEASUREMENTS, ACCOUNT FIGURES, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR PKR 0 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
